![]() ![]() Then there is the fourth slider for Colour Noise Reduction.Īnd that is it! The last step of the processing function is to press the Save Image Button. Under Manual, you have sliders to finely adjust Remove Noise, Sharpen and Recover Original Detail. This is a pretty amazing feat as it accurately removes the noise and sharpens the image without tremendous loss of fine detail. Under the later model, you have the ability to simply tick for Auto and the software will do what it does best and will remove the noise for you. You can really fine-tune each image with this model. Topaz DeNoise AI is the far more advanced version and allows for greater control of noise reduction. The first is to use the DeNoise AI and the second is to use the original software, AI Clear.ĪI Clear is a simpler version of the software with far less ability to finely control the noise reduction and sharpening. Once you have an image loaded you have two main choices on the right-hand control panel. The loading and preview creation of the images takes as little as 3 seconds and for a batch of five images, it took about 10 seconds.įor reference, I am using a 2017 21.5″ iMac with Retina 4K display, running a 3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, Radeon Pro 560 4 GB graphics card and 16GB of memory… so not the latest spec computer by any means. To being with, you can Open a single or Batch of images to edit. When you first open it, you have a two page tutorial on how to manage the software and achieve the image results you desire. ![]() As mentioned, this is a standalone software solution for effectively managing noise. The interface is incredibly simple and intuitive to use. ![]() The Bundle is frequently on discount – you can check here. Topaz Labs offer a whole range of photo editing tools which you can purchase separately, or follow our recommendation and buy the Utility bundle, which includes DeNoise AI and various powerful image editing software: DeNoise AI, Sharpen AI, JPEGtoRAW AI and Gigapixel AI. Regardless of your skill level, it is an amazing software solution that should be in every photographer’s toolkit. This is critical especially when you have a highly detailed image. The software is able to differentiate between fine grain noise and fine detail without losing any image detail. With Topaz Labs DeNoise AI, you can happily take those night shots knowing that there is a solution to editing crystal clear images. We’ve all had the experience of shooting at night and being forced to use high ISOs in order to get the image, knowing full well we’ll suffer the consequences of noise and lack of detail when editing in post. It’s the kind of software that makes you want to re-edit all your old images! Via machine-learning, Topaz ‘taught’ DeNoise AI how to recognise and remove noise, then restore previously unavailable detail in a matter of seconds. To achieve the seemingly impossible, Topaz fed millions of noise impacted and perfectly clear images to the software, then used machine learning to help it identify and reduce noise in jpeg and raw files. (See our Topaz Studio review for a deeper dive into this useful piece of software.) It is available as standalone software, or as a plugin for Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, or Topaz Studio. Topaz DeNoise AI is a revolutionary image editing app which can remove noise, enhance sharpness and recover crisp detail from RAW or JPG images, all by using the latest Artificial Intelligence technology. ![]() ![]() He also briefly appeared on GH in 1984 as Holly Sutton's (Emma Samms) cousin, Alistair Durban. His other credits include The Magicians, Mad Men, Masters of Sex, Driven, and The Bay. In addition to playing DAYS' Shane on-again, off-again since 1984, Shaughnessy is widely known for playing the role of Maxwell Sheffield in the 1990s sitcom The Nanny. ![]() "So, I consider myself incredibly fortunate." "It's kind of fun to be in a whole different realm with different people and different actors and different characters and stories. ![]() Shaughnessy hasn't been able to reveal any storyline details, but in an interview with Soap Opera Digest, the actor said that he is thrilled to be part of the Port Charles world. Will the character's six months on the canvas be a simple tale of revenge against the doctor who shot him seven years ago, or does Victor have something else in mind? Liesl tried thwarting Victor by claiming that Nathan was his son, and when that plan failed, she shot him in the chest, which activated an explosion that was thought to have killed Victor - until now!Īs GH fans have seen, the very-much-alive Victor has something up his sleeve involving Liesl, who he's currently holding hostage. Upon learning that Helena and Stavros were both alive but in a cryogenic state, Victor embarked on a reign of terror to make sure they were revived - including orchestrating a car accident involving Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) as a way to force Robin (Kimberly McCullough) into helping him, and kidnapping Maxie (Kirsten Storms), Lulu (Emme Rylan), Dante (Dominic Zampgrogna), and Nathan (Ryan Paevey) for various reasons that would ensure his reunion with his family went exactly as planned. RELATED: GH's Kimberly McCullough discusses the pitfalls of being a child star Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) the role of Chief of Staff at General Hospital in exchange for her revealing the whereabouts of his family members, Helena Cassadine (Dimitra Arliss/Constance Towers) and Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker-Kelly). Several decades later, Victor returned to Port Charles as the Director at the WSB (World Security Bureau), a position he used to secure known criminal Dr. Victor's nefarious plot was halted, and he was sent to prison after his girlfriend, Tiffany Hill (Sharon Wyatt), unexpectedly turned on him and helped Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) destroy the weather machine. After all, the Russian royal - previously played by Thaao Penghlis (Andre and Tony DiMera, DAYS) - has quite the history with the residents of Port Charles, starting with his failed plot to take over the world in 1981, when he used the infamous Ice Princess diamond to create a machine that controlled the weather. Not much else is known about what the powers that be at GH have in store for Victor's return to the canvas, but whatever it is, it's bound to be wildly entertaining. "So, I'm actually doing that for six months." "I just finished my DAYS: Beyond Salem job and literally about two days later my agent called and said that he had been working for a while with General Hospital, and that there was interest in me joining General Hospital for the next six months," the actor shares. In a new interview with Soap Opera Network, Shaughnessy reveals that he will be in the shoes of villainous Victor for at least half a year. The actor's DAYS gig is short - the five-episode limited series wraps on Friday, September 10 - but his GH gig will, fortunately, be much longer. Soap opera fans are getting a double dose of The Nanny star Charles Shaughnessy, who has reprised his role as Days of our Lives' Shane Donovan for the NBC soap's Peacock spinoff Beyond Salem and also made his General Hospital debut in the role of Victor Cassadine on September 2. ![]() ![]() Who thought of the flaming skull? To be honest with you I can't remember. The flaming skull: That was the big area of dispute. Now, there's been all kinds of dialog about who was the creator of Ghost Rider. But, to tell you the truth, it was my idea. Ploog seems to think the flaming skull was his idea. It was always my idea from the first time we talked about it, it turned out to be a guy with a flaming skull and rode a motorcycle. I threatened on more than one occasion that if Marvel gets in a position where they are gonna make a movie or make a lot of money off of it, I'm gonna sue them, and I probably will. Well, there's some disagreement between Roy, Mike, and I over that. Gary liked it, so they went off and did it. I had this idea for the skull-head, something like Elvis' 1968 Special jumpsuit, and so forth, and Ploog put the fire on the head, just because he thought it looked nice. He should start out right away in his own book." When Gary wasn't there the day we were going to design it, Mike Ploog, who was going to be the artist, and I designed the character. I said, "Yeah, Gary, there's only one thing wrong with it," and he kind of looked at me weird, because we were old friends from Missouri, and I said, "That's too good an idea to be just a villain in Daredevil. Anyway, when Gary Friedrich started writing Daredevil, he said, "Instead of Stunt-Master, I'd like to make the villain a really weird motorcycle-riding character called Ghost Rider." He didn't describe him. I had made up a character as a villain in Daredevil-a very lackluster character-called Stunt-Master. Thomas, Marvel's editor-in-chief at the time, described the character's genesis: Several different creative teams mixed-and-matched until penciller Don Perlin began a long stint with issue #26, eventually joined by writer Michael Fleisher through issue #58. After a seven-issue tryout run in Marvel Spotlight, the character received a self-titled Ghost Rider series in 1973, with penciller Jim Mooney handling most of the first nine issues.
